Google Ads Gambling and Games Policy: What’s New in 2026

Gambling industry

Published Oct 26, 2026 by Fathian Bossaro

Google rewrote its gambling certification rules several times in 2026, and the latest Google Ads gambling policy update landed in October. This guide covers what changed, who it hurts most, and where to move your budget when Google gets too strict.

This year, Google focused on who can advertise. It now checks an advertiser’s whole account history, so a license alone no longer gets you in.

What’s inside:

  • Every key 2026 change in one table.
  • Which new rules hit affiliates and agencies hardest.
  • Whether Google Ads is still worth it for gambling.
  • Where to buy Gambling traffic without Google certification, including Direct Click at the FatAds ad network.

Getting and keeping a certificate is now much harder. The table shows what changed in each area.

Which New Google Ads Gambling Rules Hurt Affiliates Most?

Affiliates and agencies take the biggest hit connected to Gambling ads. Below are the rules that cause the most damage and ways to work around them.

  1. One client can hurt the whole agency. The MCC is now a shared risk. If one client keeps breaking the rules, Google can block new certificates for every account in that MCC. Google never says how many violations count as “repeated,” so check a new client’s landing pages before linking their account and keep risky tests away from the MCC that holds your best clients.
  2. One unlicensed brand can get a review page rejected. If a review lists a brand without a license in the GEO you target, the whole page fails for that country. An affiliate now needs a link list per GEO, checked against each regulator.
  3. A country update can ban affiliates. Confirm the GEO itself before building a funnel, because Google can ban affiliate content in a country within weeks.
  4. Separate accounts mean separate everything. Six GEOs with real-money and social casino products need six country applications and at least two accounts, so plan billing and tracking before the first launch. Google never defines a “material” change, and a new domain or licensee could easily count.
  5. One serious violation can cost all your accounts. Cloaking, the old way around moderation, only adds violations to the MCC record. After a serious violation, Google can suspend related accounts and block new ones at setup, and social casino violations end in a ban without warning.

Is Google Ads Still Worth It for Gambling After 2026?

It still works for licensed operators with brand traffic, but for affiliates who test new GEOs every week, the new gambling restrictions in Google Ads slow launches down.

  • You need a local license for every target country.
  • Your regulator record has to match your application.
  • Even certified ads wait up to one business day for review.

If test speed matters more, an ad network like FatAds lets you check new GEOs with push, pop, and Direct Click without waiting for Google’s certificate.

Where Can You Run Gambling Ads Without Google Certification?

The FatAds ad network runs its own moderation in 220 GEOs, so you don’t need a Google certificate, and its formats come with far fewer ad restrictions. Its newest format, Direct Click, works best for Gambling because it sends users who mistype a domain straight to your landing page. It shows strong results in driving registrations and deposits.

  • Formats: push from $0.0035 CPC, pop from $0.60 CPM, and Direct Click from $0.02 CPC via a manager.
  • Traffic: 2B+ impressions a day from its own publishers.
  • Optimization: Optimization Booster learns from deposits and registrations, plus CPA Limit, Bid adjustments, and Time planner.
  • Start: $300, with free creatives and help from managers who know Gambling.

Local gambling laws still apply. Sign up at FatAds and test Direct Click next to push and pop.
